Welcome from the Headteacher

It gives me great pleasure to warmly welcome you to St Anne’s Catholic Primary School, Ormskirk.

St Anne’s mission statement is “Loving God in all we do”.  We firmly believe in trying to provide the best possible education and pastoral support for all our children with the teachings of Jesus Christ at the centre of all we do.

St Anne’s Catholic Primary School is a loving school family. The essential triangle of home, school and parish aim to work tirelessly together to provide the best for our children.  St. Anne’s is a Catholic Primary School serving the parishes of St. Anne’s Ormskirk and St. Mary’s Aughton.  We are all blessed at St Anne’s to have wonderful children, teachers, parents and parishioners.

If you are a prospective parent or a parent of children in school, we hope you find our website a useful window to life at St Anne's. Visits to school are always welcome.

Many thanks,

Mr Philip Bates

Dear parents and children,

On Wednesday 27th May, Lancashire County Council have advised that schools will NOT open to Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 6 children as the Prime Minister had planned from June 1st.  The medical advice from LCC is guiding this decision.

We will continue to provide support for our Key Worker families as we have done since March 23rd.

I have communicated this information as quickly as possible to help our families prepare for next week.  I will provide any updates as soon as they are communicated to school.

Mr Bates

Our Spring Half Term Message

Dear Parents & Carers,

As we come to the end of what has been an unprecedented half term, we hope all our St Anne's parents, children and grandparents are keeping safe and well.

Thank you so much for all the hard work and support with the Home Learning Projects, we have loved looking at your creative ideas.

As you know the half term break begins on Monday, 25th May. The school will be closed that day to all pupils, and will re-open on Tuesday, 26th May to make provision for the Key Worker children only.

During half term week, there will be no Home Learning work set by the class teachers; we will recommence on Monday 1st June when we launch our new online learning platform 'Class Charts.'

We wish you all a happy and safe half term with your families.

Today we hear how Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to be with the disciples,

to help them be brave enough to share God’s message with others.
