Welcome to our Reception class page.

Here you can find useful information which will help your child in Reception as well as a little insight into what we do across the year.

We have two Reception classes here at St Annes.

In class 01 we have; Miss Whiteside who is the class teacher and Mrs Carter is the teaching assistant.

In class 02 we have; Mrs Litherland who is the class teacher and Mrs Scott is the teaching assistant.

Although we have two Reception classes, we work as a unit and all teachers get to know and work with all children across the setting.

We cannot emphasise enough how much we value your support. You know your child best and we want you to share this rich knowledge you have with us. We are looking forward to building strong partnerships with you in order to enable your child to flourish.

PE days for Reception are Wednesdays and Thursdays and they should arrive at school dressed in their PE kits on these days.

Children in Reception have a daily healthy snack and we ask for a contribution of £15 a term to support this.  Snack money should be sent into class in a clearly labelled envelope at the beginning of each term. We very much appreciate your cooperation with this.

Please make sure you check your child’s book bag on a daily basis for any notes that are sent home. The class twitter page is updated regularly with photographs of what we have been up to in class and with any important information.

Class Charts is used to communicate things such as rewards and homework.

You will be given your usernames and passwords for Maths shed at the beginning of the year.

Bug Club Phonics books are allocated online for children to access at home each week.

Homework and reading books will be allocated on a Tuesday.

We are looking forward to the exciting year ahead.

Thank you for your support,

The Reception team.
